For 20+ years clients have come through my doors seeking psychotherapy and psychological consultations. They reveal their traumas, fears, and mistakes, along with dreams, desires, and accomplishments. When the doors close behind them, old wounds have been healed, and better life choices are made.
Finding the best way to connect with a client is the art of psychotherapy. Like any art, this involves using a mix of intellect and emotions (mind and heart). I hope to make a heart-mind connection with each of my clients where we engage in vigorous dialogue and emotional interchange. To do this I rely on knowledge gleaned from many different theories, common sense gained from a breadth of life experiences, and clinical intuition developed over years of doing therapy. My goal is to help clients feel safe, supported and understood, while also pushing them to reach their full human potential.
